For her Infinities project, French designer Wendy Andreu dug deep into the worlds of mathematics and geometry. In her research, she discovered that these supposedly rational disciplines can also account for seemingly impossible or magical phenomena. Her design draws inspiration from the Möbius Strip principle. This otherworldly circular form defines physical dimensions, implodes on itself, and becomes infinite. You can go through it endlessly. Andreu connected this element with another boundless component: the mirror, reflecting reality without interruption. In her practice, the designer seeks to translate abstract concepts into tangible realities using various material and construction systems. Andreu often experiments with different elements and techniques to arrive at unexpected outcomes.
